The Many Benefits of All-on-4® Dental Implants

The Many Benefits of All-on-4® Dental Implants

Whether you’re missing one or more teeth due to an injury or have severely decayed teeth that need replacing, dental implants provide a long-lasting and very natural-looking solution. And unlike dentures, you don’t remove dental implants when you eat or brush. They stay in place, functioning just like regular, healthy teeth.

At Nobel Dental in the Koreatown neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, Dr. Abraham Nobel works with an oral surgeon to place dental implants, including All-on-4® implants. During this treatment, you receive a complete upper or lower tooth arch that’s supported by four strategically placed dental implants.

Read on to learn about several significant benefits of All-on-4 dental implants to see if they might be a smart option for you.

Superior stability

Dentures can be a good option for teeth replacement, but ask anyone who has them and they’ll tell you they have their limitations. Because dentures aren’t anchored in your gums, it can take a while to adapt to eating and speaking normally while wearing them. And even then, they won’t feel exactly like teeth.

All-on-4 dental implants replace your tooth’s root. Once embedded into your gums and jawbone, your bone tissue will fuse around them to keep them strong. As a result, dental implants don’t slip or interfere with daily function.

Preserved bone and better alignment

A missing tooth might not seem like such a big deal from a health standpoint, but when you lose the root of a tooth, the surrounding bone tissue stops regenerating. Over time, this can lead to bone loss. One or more missing teeth also makes way for poor or worsening alignment of surrounding teeth.

All-on-4 dental implants prevent these problems. Your jaw bone will remain healthier and you won’t have to worry about shifting teeth.

Less hassle, more convenience

Both singular dental implants and dentures require a process that can become fairly time consuming, requiring multiple office visits spread out over time. All-on-4 dental implants, however, can replace your upper or lower teeth during one procedure. While we place them, you’ll be under general anesthesia to keep you comfortable and pain-free.

Once we’re finished, you can head home and start using your new teeth normally. Simple to care for, you’ll brush your implants the same way you brush the rest of your teeth. You will need to floss thoroughly, including under the sides of the implants, which we’ll go over with you before you leave. Otherwise, there are really no additional care steps for your All-on-4s.

To learn more about All-on-4 dental implants or find out if you’re a good candidate, call Nobel Dentistry or book an appointment through our website. We also offer additional variations, such as All-on-6 dental implants, for anyone needing more than four teeth replaced.
